Sure...I carry jute/cotton bags while going to shop. I always have an empty Bigshopper in my Car/Bike .The other idea I got my Friend is to Reuse the plastic bags rather than getting a new one. Pick up a plastic bag which you think can be folded and kept in Purse/Handbag.In situation where you do not have cotton/Jute bags use the old cover.This is what I do.If you think the items which you carry doenst need a plastic bag,Say NO Cover needed :)
